Supplier Quality Engineer (m/f/d)

Overview

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will strengthen our supplier base and ensure quality across products and processes. You’ll work autonomously, coordinating with Inspection, Engineering and Procurement to drive supplier approval, surveillance and corrective actions. You will represent supplier quality in site and CAB reviews, manage performance metrics, and lead improvement initiatives. The role supports Kidde-Deugra Brandschutzsysteme GmbH and is based in Ratingen or Heidelberg, with travel as needed. Verantwortungsbereiche
  • Interface between site quality/operations and central supplier quality organization
  • Support Site Operations, Quality Clinics, Program Management and Tier meetings
  • Represent supplier quality in site and CAB Reviews
  • Risk management for site through waivers, risk release approvals and containment
  • Conduct supplier approval and surveillance activities
  • Verify suppliers meet quality requirements from RTX, Collins, customers and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate quality deviations and drive RCCA and problem resolution
  • Manage supplier performance metrics and lead improvement activities
  • Project management of supplier-relevant quality assurance activities
  • Review and release supplier quality documents and reports
  • Support NPI and supplier work-transfer activities
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives (CORE)
Zentrale Anforderungen
  • Bachelor or Master in an advanced technical discipline or several years of equivalent professional experience
  • Qualified external ISO9001 and EN 9100 lead auditor
  • Knowledge of quality tools: 8D, FMEA, APQP, Risk Mgt, FAI, RCCA
  • Fluent English and German (written and spoken)
  • Excellent communication with persuasiveness, assertiveness, and persistence
  • Independent, goal-oriented work style in an international environment
  • Willingness to travel (~50%)
