System Integration Engineer

In thisRole you will drive hardware-software integration for next-generation hearing aid platforms. You collaborate across hardware, firmware, software, and test disciplines to design robust integration strategies and improve test environments. You’ll run integration tests, analyze results, and help shape cross-functional solutions that ensure high quality and long-term sustainability. This role offers hands-on work with RF/embedded systems in a mission-driven company expanding access to hearing care. You will contribute to architectures and test frameworks that scale with development.

• Design, implement and maintain test concepts, frameworks and toolchains for hardware-software integration across development stages
• Execute integration tests (including Wireless- and Electro-Acoustic measurements) and communicate results to project stakeholders
• Work hands-on with hearing aid hardware, FPGA boards, firmware, software, and test equipment to support early-stage development
• Prepare test plans and maintain ITS framework and integration environment
• Improve existing integration processes, tools and approaches for efficiency, quality and sustainability
• Collaborate across R&D, production and tooling to solve cross-domain challenges and, at senior levels, contribute to technical architecture
• Verify and validate hardware and software setups against requirements and performance
• Maintain project documentation in compliance with medical device standards
• Supervise and plan work packages for students

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Medical Technology, Embedded Systems, or comparable technical discipline; Master’s preferred
• Experience in system integration, hardware-software integration, test engineering, embedded systems, electronics
• Hands-on experience with FPGA boards and electronic hardware
• Knowledge of MATLAB, Python, and familiarity with Git, SQL, ADS or similar tools is advantageous
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills
• Structured, quality-focused approach with ability to work independently; senior candidates should show technical ownership and architecture experience
• Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills
