As a Linux System Administrator (m/f/d), you will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and configuration of our Linux servers and virtual hosts. You will ensure the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure and network technology, maintain tickets and documentation and have the opportunity to develop into a DevOps Engineer.

Tasks as System Administrator Linux (m/f/d)

• Administration, maintenance and configuration of Linux servers and management of service providers in the web hosting environment
• Support and administration of virtual hosts as well as Windows and Linux servers/clients
• Ensuring the smooth operation of the IT infrastructure, network technology and virtualization
• Creation and management of firewall rules and package management
• Automation and optimization of processes in the IT infrastructure
• Support for colleagues through mutual representation within the team
• Collaboration in user support and assistance with IT security issues
• Maintaining tickets and creating and updating documentation
• Opportunity for further development up to DevOps Engineer with support from an experienced mentor

Qualifications as System Administrator Linux (m/f/d)

• Sound knowledge in the administration of Linux servers
• Experience in the administration of virtual environments and network technology
• Interest in IT security and structured, careful work
• Willingness to learn and enthusiasm for IT topics
• Independent and team-oriented way of working
• Experience in the web hosting environment is an advantage
• Good documentation skills and careful ticket maintenance
• Fluent in German to at least C2 level
