Tax Underwriter

In this role you will assess, structure, and underwrite tax liability policies for complex cross-border transactions within a leading global insurance group. You will work closely with brokers, advisors, and deal teams to support high-value M&A activity and deliver tax risk coverage across Europe. You’ll lead underwriting projects and build strong relationships with law firms and clients, leveraging private corporate tax expertise in a dynamic underwriting context. • Assess and underwrite tax liability insurance for cross-border transactions
• Review transaction documents, diligence reports, and deal structures to identify risk
• Lead underwriting projects and engage with brokers, law firms, and clients across Europe
• Collaborate with deal teams to support high-value M&A activity
• Develop and maintain relationships with external partners to facilitate successful placements

• German qualified lawyer
• 3-8 years' PQE in private corporate tax, gained at a recognised international or leading domestic firm
• Strong corporate or M&A experience with focus on tax aspects of transactions
• Ability to communicate credibly with senior deal professionals
