Team Lead, Operations

• Leadership of the team while simultaneously acting as a role model and point of contact for employees
• Ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operational business
• Technical guidance and oversight of warehouse staff
• Compliance with statutory safety regulations regarding occupational, health and fire protection
• Adherence to standardized processes, handling of hazardous substances and work instructions
• Responsibility for safety, order and cleanliness throughout the entire warehouse area and adjacent facilities
• Coordination of required consumables
• Information exchange within the team and with supervisors
• Maintaining statistics/records as instructed by the supervisor
• Active participation in optimizing production processes and improving cost efficiency
• Active involvement in day-to-day operations when necessary

Requirements

• Completed training as a Warehouse Logistics Specialist (m/f/d), ideally in trade logistics / forwarding (m/f/d)
• Alternatively, a commercial training as Freight Forwarding Agent (m/f/d) / or, as a career changer, another qualification or several years of experience in the aforementioned field
• Initial leadership experience, e.g., as a foreman or supervisor, is an advantage
• Career changers from other industries with a willingness to learn are welcome
• Experience in leading warehouse staff and a commitment to being available are advantageous
• Good proficiency with common Office programs (Excel)
• Good written and spoken German
• English skills desirable
• Other language skills are an advantage
• Team player with a sense of responsibility
• Independent working style
• Willingness to work shifts (rotating early and late shifts)
• Forklift license
