Team Leader I, Shipping

Experteer Overview In this role you lead shipping and inventory activities to ensure timely production and delivery. You partner with production, warehouse, and quality teams to minimize stockouts, coordinate orders, and manage logistics costs. You will monitor finished goods, conduct cycle counts, and ensure accurate records in SAP. You help drive smooth operations through data interpretation, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. This role offers hands-on impact in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor finished goods inventory and avoid stockouts/overstocking
• Track movement from production to shipping; manage backorders and communicate delays
• Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
• Maintain safe, organized workspace and optimize space utilization
• Process customer orders and generate shipping documents
• Coordinate with shipping for timely delivery and manage transportation costs
• Collaborate with production to meet delivery schedules and provide status updates
• Identify bottlenecks and address production delays affecting availability
• Maintain SAP records; generate reports on inventory turnover and trends
• Conduct quality checks on finished goods and coordinate with QC on issues
• Coordinate packaging and labeling; ensure compliance with standards
• Perform inventory controls and support audits
• Communicate across departments to support timely and accurate shipping

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Commerce (or B.A) or Diploma with 2+ years' experience
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations; coordinator experience
• Excellent numeric skills and familiarity with material ordering and distribution
• Familiar with storage and disposal of chemicals, bulk, shelf life, FIFO
• Proficiency with SAP and data analysis; time and attendance ideally
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally
• Attention to detail; ability to maintain accurate records
• Problem-solving skills for inventory discrepancies and shipping delays
