Teamlead (m|f|d) Project Estimation & Project Cost Controlling

As Teamlead of Project Estimation & Project Cost Controlling for the EMEA region, you drive reliable cost estimates and transparent forecasting across the project lifecycle. You lead an integrated end-to-end organization, aligning bid estimation with project cost control to support commercial decisions. You shape standards, processes and digital tools, contributing to the function’s transformation and continuous improvement. You collaborate with Sales, Bid Management and project teams to enable data-driven decisions and add value for senior management.

• Lead and develop the Project Estimation & Project Cost Controlling organization (disciplinary and functional leadership)
• Build an integrated end-to-end organization connecting bid-phase estimation with project execution cost control
• Ensure competitive, realistic cost estimates and standardized calculation methods
• Support Sales, Bid Management and project teams in commercially relevant bidding decisions
• Oversee cost controlling across the portfolio (forecasting, Cost-at-Completion, variance analysis, reporting)
• Provide high-quality forecast transparency and steering information for Project Management and management
• Harmonize methods, KPIs, templates, processes and digital tools across the organization
• Drive data-based decision-making and contribute to ongoing transformation and digitalization initiatives

• Degree in business administration, industrial engineering, engineering or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in Cost Estimation, Project Cost Controlling, Project Controls or Project Finance
• Experience estimating and managing costs of complex international projects
• Strong understanding of estimation methodologies, forecasting, cost and risk management
• Experience establishing standards, processes, KPIs and reporting structures
• Affinity for digital technologies, process automation, data-driven decisions (AI, RPA)
• Several years of leadership experience in an international matrix organization
• Knowledge of SAP and relevant estimation, controlling and reporting tools
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to communicate complex topics clearly
• Entrepreneurial mindset with change leadership and quality focus
• Fluent business English; other languages advantageous
