Operational Leadership

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of the Ocean Freight Export team
• Monitor workloads, assign tasks, and ensure timely execution of all operational processes and deadlines
• Ensure full compliance with operational regulations, documentation standards, and company policies
• Support operational budgeting and contribute to financial planning and cost control initiatives
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with key customers to ensure high service quality and satisfaction
• Act as the main operational contact for internal departments, suppliers, and external service providers
• Support the development and growth of existing and new customer accounts in line with company strategy

Process & Performance Improvement

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensure service levels meet or exceed customer expectations
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement efficiency improvements
• Leverage IT systems and cost‑saving initiatives to streamline operational workflows

Team Development

• Provide coaching, guidance, and regular performance feedback to team members
• Conduct training and support continuous skill development within the team
• Foster a collaborative, high‑performing, and motivated team environment

Job Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in ocean freight operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or equivalent commercial training (e.g. freight forwarding and logistics services coordinator)
• Proven experience in handling ocean freight export shipments and operational processes
• Strong understanding of international shipping operations, documentation, and logistics workflows
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• High adaptability to changing processes, policies, and operational requirements
• Strong leadership, organizational, and decision‑making skills
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities
