Technical Buyer (M/F/D)

As Technical Buyer, you will secure critical mechanical, electrical, and engineered components to support manufacturing. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure reliable supply and manage supplier relationships. You will run RFQs, supplier evaluations, and cost analyses, while leading negotiations and onboarding. • Source and procure technical components, assemblies, and production materials for manufacturing
• Manage supplier relationships and act as the primary procurement contact for assigned commodities
• Conduct RFQs, supplier evaluations, cost analyses, and commercial negotiations
• Support supplier selection and onboarding with Engineering and Quality teams
• Monitor supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, and service levels
• Identify and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising requirements or quality
• Collaborate with Design Engineering on new product introductions and changes
• Manage purchase orders, contract negotiations, and supplier agreements
• Support inventory optimization and material availability for production
• Contribute to supplier risk management and supply chain resilience initiatives
• Analyze market trends, raw material developments, and supplier capabilities to inform strategy

• Degree or apprenticeship qualification in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
• Proven purchasing experience in industrial manufacturing, machinery, automotive, or engineering context
• Experience sourcing technical products such as machined parts, castings, fabricated components, motors, drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical components, or assemblies
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
• Comfortable working with engineering and production stakeholders
• Analytical mindset with strong commercial awareness
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar
• Native or fluent German and strong English skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally to suppliers and manufacturing sites
