Responsibilities

Visit ophthalmic surgeons in hospitals and practices
Provide information and demonstrate J&J Vision Surgical cataract medical products and systems and instruct surgeons on their handling
Establish and maintain close contact with ophthalmic surgeons within the defined territory
Engage with key opinion leaders
Execute marketing strategies and programs in line with the company’s strategic direction
Advise OR staff as needed regarding the use of J&J Vision Surgical medical products
Prepare an annual plan for sales/revenue and costs
Be responsible for administrative processes within the defined territory
Organize and conduct training events for surgeons, referrers and OR staff, and participate in congresses, workshops and seminars

Requirements

Completed training or a degree with a medical, ophthalmic-optician or commercial focus
Preferably several years of professional experience and success in selling to physicians, ideally in ophthalmology or with consultative (medical) products
Ideally knowledge of reimbursement systems in ophthalmology/medicine
Solid business/financial knowledge and skill in presenting and negotiating complex product portfolios
Experience maintaining and using Customer Relationship Management systems daily, proactively documenting potential new business according to segmentation lists, and the ability to plan and document complex sales strategies thoroughly
Strong communication skills
Flexibility and willingness to travel/commitment
Very good MS Office skills
Good English skills
