Start Your Career at Telekom – Become Part of a Global Team! Are you ready to conquer the world? Then you’ve come to the right place! Deutsche Telekom is represented in over 50 countries worldwide and is one of Europe’s leading telecommunications providers. Our products and services connect people and improve daily life. With the best network and a strong presence in the gigabit society, we set the standards. Our digital future is driven by more than 230,000 innovative minds. Become part of our team and shape your future with us.
Your Start Date – Completely Flexible: Our trainee program starts at the beginning of every quarter – choose your preferred start date that suits you.
For talents with an entrepreneurial mindset and the courage to shape the future, the "Start up!" trainee program offers 18 months of space to learn and develop. We provide you with a wide range of insights into our organization, as well as the opportunity to step out of your comfort zone and explore new topics to reach your full potential.
You will have 5 project assignments: the first within Group Development. After that, you can choose your subsequent projects individually – across the entire company.
After your first assignment, you decide which topics you want to dive deeper into. During the program, we want you to step out of your comfort zone and explore new fields within Deutsche Telekom. We will support you with a broad network.
Fridays are reserved for "Magenta Friday". All trainees come together and work on strategic, innovative growth topics outside of their own project assignments. Trainees work in different teams where they organize events, foster their development, or contribute to social initiatives.
A leading digital telecommunications company without international experience? Never! One of your (3-month) assignments will be abroad. You decide which country and city.
Take the opportunity to get to know Deutsche Telekom’s operational business. During our "Service Days," you can gain direct insights into how Deutsche Telekom works with customers. Choose your "Service Days", such as a day in customer service, a visit to a T-Shop, or a stop at one of our service centers. You’ll gain direct insights into how we turn customers into fans every day.
Every quarter, there is the opportunity to start the program. Simply discuss with your contact person which date suits you best.
You actively support the identification, analysis, and evaluation of potential strategic partnerships and M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) targets. You contribute to company valuations (financial modeling), due diligence processes, and the preparation of decision documents for top management.
You have successfully completed a bachelor's or master's degree in economics, business administration, or a comparable degree program – all graduation levels (Bachelor, Master, PhD) are welcome. You also bring the following knowledge and skills:
Investments in Focus: You are a passionate team player and are enthusiastic about creating strategic value for our company by contributing to topics like M&A, portfolio management, and much more.
Employee-Centric Mindset: You are a passionate team player committed to creating an outstanding employee experience. You actively contribute to the topics outlined above and beyond, bringing enthusiasm, collaboration, and a strong focus on making a positive impact for our employees.
You have accumulated at least 6 months of initial relevant internships or work experience in areas such as Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Private Equity (PE), Strategy Consulting, and/or in Corporate Development environments. Ideally, you have up to about 1 year of relevant professional experience overall and want to specifically develop your career further within the framework of a trainee program.
You have a basic understanding of how, for example, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, and strategic investments contribute to achieving corporate goals.
Our "Start up!" community thrives on its international diversity. Therefore, strong intercultural skills should be part of your DNA. International experience – whether through studying abroad, work & travel, etc. – is a must (at least 3 months).
As a "Start up!" trainee, you are passionate about driving change! Experience in social engagement and/or entrepreneurial projects is highly welcomed.
You are fluent in English (C1 level) and are willing to learn German independently.
Severely disabled applicants with equal qualification will be given particular consideration.
