Overview

In this role you will underwrite Caribbean property and casualty business within an international reinsurance framework, shaping Hannover Re's Caribbean strategy. You will work cross-functionally with brokers and clients in Spanish and English, and travel to markets to nurture relationships. The position combines analytical risk assessment with market insight to set informed, risk-adequate premiums. You will contribute to expanding the Caribbean market while operating in a diverse, global team. This opportunity offers exposure to international clients, travel, and the chance to influence regional reinsurance decisions.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Manage Caribbean property and casualty business in an international reinsurance setting
Analyze reinsurance submissions and assess associated risks
Calculate risk-adequate premiums and underwrite property and casualty risks
Identify market trends and monitor primary insurance markets and key participants
Communicate with brokers and clients to support business relationships in Spanish and English
Maintain existing client relationships and develop new contacts through business travel and industry events

Zentrale Anforderungen

Degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Mathematics or comparable field
Several years of professional experience in the reinsurance industry
Strong analytical skills and proficient in Excel
Fluent in Spanish and English; willingness to learn basic German
Willingness to travel to the Caribbean (2–4 times per year) for client visits and market events
Confidence in handling complex issues, strong communication, and adaptability in an international environment
