Overview

In this role you will join the Advanced Solutions team at Hannover headquarter to steer international reinsurance placements. You will begin with a structured onboarding and progressively take ownership of the placement process, from origination and pricing to underwriting decisions. You will review enquiries, craft tailored solutions, and negotiate with clients while maintaining relationships and ensuring profitability. The position offers cross-border collaboration and exposure to actuarial, accounting, and catastrophe modelling experts. This opportunity combines technical underwriting with strategic client management in a global setting.

Verantwortungsbereiche

Take ownership of the placement process from origination and pricing to final underwriting decisions
Review and assess enquiries for structured reinsurance solutions and negotiate with clients
Manage and renew existing reinsurance contracts; plan and coordinate data with quality standards
Prepare actuarially sound analyses and projections to support profitability of contracts
Maintain and develop relationships; engage in regular meetings with partners worldwide
Collaborate with international colleagues in Underwriting, Actuarial, Accounting and Natural Catastrophe Modelling
Participate in onboarding and progressively assume responsibilities
Support development of partnerships and business growth in line with standards and values

Zentrale Anforderungen

Master in Business Mathematics or related field
Initial practical experience in insurance or financial services (internships or working student roles)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Fluent in German and English
Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 5–6 trips per year)
Solution-oriented, forward-thinking, responsible with strong communication and teamwork skills
