Unity Lead Developer / Architect - Contract - Hybrid

A fast-growing AI & HealthTech company is looking for a hands-on Unity Lead Developer / Architect to lead the design and delivery of high-performance, real-time Unity applications .

Their mission is to transform children’s healthcare by combining computer vision, AI and interactive technology to build products that make a genuine difference in people’s lives.

This is a senior technical leadership contract where you’ll remain hands-on , while taking ownership of architecture, mentoring engineers and helping shape the future of a production platform already making a real-world impact.

• Own the architecture of large-scale Unity applications from concept through to production
• Work across mobile, desktop, VR and cross-platform products
• Lead technical decisions while remaining hands-on with Unity and C#
• Influence architecture, engineering standards and development workflows

What you’ll be working on

• Designing scalable Unity architectures for production applications
• Developing high-quality Unity/C# systems across multiple platforms
• Leading technical delivery while mentoring other engineers
• Optimising performance, scalability and live production environments
• Working closely with Product, Design, Backend, QA and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software

• Extensive commercial experience with Unity and C#
• Experience leading the architecture and delivery of large Unity applications
• Strong understanding of performance optimisation, scalable system design and live products
• Experience working across mobile or cross-platform environments
• Someone who enjoys combining technical leadership with hands-on engineering
