Vendor Manager (m,f,x) – Commercial Department

Our client, one of the top 10 leading shipping companies worldwide, manages more than 200 container vessels. For a rapidly growing office located in Hamburg City, we are searching for a Vendor Manager to become part of a qualified and dynamic team. The role involves offering and coordinating a high standard of full line services for Europe and intercontinental markets. Please note that the position is open to all genders (m,f,x). Commercial Department.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of vendor management experience in the container shipping industry, preferably with a ship crew background.
• Good command of English (written and verbal); multi‑language skills preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel.
• Commitment to work quality and attention to detail in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Terminal procurement for European services, including feeder ports of call for self‑operated or partner services.
• Contract negotiation to achieve synergy and cost effectiveness for European services.
• Internal system data maintenance related to vendor agreements, including in‑system code creation and tariff updates.
• Auditing and aligning contract terms.
