The Role

This role is at the heart of our core investment team in Berlin. You will identify, select, and invest in founders, and work further with them as portfolio companies through scaling and raising their next rounds. This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership role: fully in‑office, high‑intensity, and not a 9‑to‑5 job.

Key Responsibilities

1. Find and back outlier founders: actively originate deals through content, marketing, and ecosystem engagement.
2. Build Relationships: Build, nurture, and leverage relationships in technical, operator, and founder communities.
3. Investment Process: Assess founders/businesses, prepare due diligence, and bring decisions to the Investment Committee (IC).
4. Work with Founders: Work alongside founders before and after investment (sparring on validation, building momentum).
5. Portfolio Support: Support founders with fundraising, winning customers, partners, and hiring.
6. Firm Building: Be an active leader in the core team building Antler in Continental Europe.

Requirements

1. Experience: 4+ years of experience in early-stage investing or as a founder/operator who has raised money.
2. Technical Background: Strong preference for candidates with full technical backgrounds (software, hardware, research) who have built systems.
3. Attributes: Highly independent, commercially grounded, sharp in conversation, and comfortable with ambiguity.
4. Tools: Comfortable working with modern tools and automation (e.g., Airtable, Zapier, n8n, Cursor).
