Vice President, Fund Accounting (Real Assets)

You will lead SPV and fund accounting for Real Estate / Real Assets, driving operational excellence and client satisfaction within Citco’s Frankfurt team. You collaborate with auditors, regulators, and client managers to ensure accurate reporting and compliant documentation. The role combines hands-on finance work with high-level stakeholder liaison, shaping service delivery for complex fund structures. • Own designated client portfolio and ensure timely, high-quality responses to all inquiries
• Record accounting entries from German legal documents in accordance with German law
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including KAGB-related documentation
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies
• Be willing to assume directorships at client entities
• Oversee end-to-end payroll for client employees, coordinating with employees, insurers, tax advisors, and client managers while maintaining confidentiality
• Review payroll documents and expense reports for accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Engage with German providers (tax advisors, tax authorities, local authorities) and review documentation
• Periodically review transaction profiles and risk forms and update as needed

• Completed Training as an Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Management
• >10 years of experience in international audit or accounting/service firms (finance/accounting) is a plus
• Practical experience with German Investment Code (KAGB) is essential
• Professional designation (CPA/CFA/CMA) is advantageous but not required
• Experience in Financial Services with high-volume operations or fund/hedge fund knowledge is a plus
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, documentation, and expense reporting, with stakeholder liaison skills
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, team-oriented, and results-driven
• Good interpersonal and client service skills
