This position is particularly suitable for highly qualified early‑career researchers.

The future position holder will represent the field of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology and Psychotherapy in both research and teaching. The ideal candidate will have an established, internationally recognized research program. The area of specialization is open but must focus on childhood and adolescence. Candidates with an established research program that employs translational or transdiagnostic approaches and builds bridges to fundamental areas such as developmental, social, cognitive, or neuroscientific research are especially well‑suited to the institute, regardless of whether their work focuses on etiology, intervention, or implementation. The participation of the professorship in the university research focus area 'Signals of Life' is welcome.

The future position holder will contribute to teaching in the Bachelor of Science in Psychology (polyvalent program) as well as in the Master’s program in Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, in accordance with licensing regulations, and will in particular represent the field of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology and Psychotherapy.

The future professor will also lead the outpatient psychotherapy clinic for children, adolescents, and their families at the Institute of Psychology. Prior experience with tasks and responsibilities in the field of outpatient care for children and adolescents with mental disorders is desirable.

Furthermore, a license to practice (Approbation) in child and adolescent psychotherapy or in psychological psychotherapy with an additional qualification in psychotherapy for children and adolescents is required, or alternatively, an advanced stage of postgraduate training that will soon enable the acquisition of the relevant professional certification.
