Wardrobe Technician – ALIZÉ – Resident Shows

Full‑Time position.

Responsibilities

• Work show tracks which include dressing, cleaning, laundering, repair/maintenance of costumes, headpieces and accessories, pre‑show costume check and pre‑set, and running show tracks, nightly show laundry, and closing procedures.
• Launder, repair and maintain costume pieces and accessories using supplied professional tools and machinery; document maintenance practices and repair notes.
• Ensure all costumes, shoes, headpieces and accessories are show‑ready and available for pre‑set on a nightly basis; inspect all costumes and tag for repair work; communicate effectively with the department lead to report and document repair work.
• Dress shows and work closely with the artists to ensure a smooth nightly operation for the run of shows.
• Maintain cue‑track documentation and participate in cue‑track rotations and trainings as directed.
• Assist with costume construction and fittings as needed.
• Attend artist trainings and show staging sessions when required.
• Assist with inventory, ordering and tracking of department supplies and equipment; report to the department HOD when needed.
• Participate in special projects, including maintenance or construction projects and assisting in PR events that include costume elements; maintain a flexible schedule for such projects.
• Establish and maintain constructive relationships with colleagues; help keep workspace organized and clean.
• Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to safety policies and procedures; comply with German occupational safety regulations and participate in related training.
• Assist other departments as needed for cross‑departmental support.
• Complete all other job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience as a professional Wardrobe Technician in a large‑scale production show.
• Experience as a stitcher, including costume construction, repairs, and maintenance for a large‑scale production show.
• Working knowledge of shoe repair, painting, makeup, theatrical wigs, and millinery.
• Experience working with home/commercial sewing machines and specialty machines.
• Experience in a multicultural group environment is a plus; interpersonal skills to work effectively with all business contacts.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to climb, crouch, kneel, stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate mechanized equipment; full list of essential functions provided in offer.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Verification of right to work in Germany.
