Windows System Developer (m/f/d) - Augsburg or Bucharest

In this role, you will shape Windows OS components within IGEL’s R&D environment, aligning with IGEL OS on Linux-based and Windows-integrated solutions. You’ll own architecture, development, and integration work across enterprise Windows environments while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust system-level software. The position emphasizes enhancing development pipelines and delivering scalable Windows solutions in a cloud/server context. A strong drive to explore new topics and contribute to innovative Windows-based tooling is expected.

• Provide architecture guidance for Windows OS, including installation, boot, and system-level components
• Develop and maintain Windows system-level elements (drivers, services, installers, UI components)
• Enhance and maintain development pipelines for Windows
• Leverage enterprise tools and security software where applicable (e.g., SCCM)

• 5+ years of professional experience
• Experience writing Windows system-level components (drivers, services)
• Deep understanding of Windows architecture
• Development experience with Cygwin/MinGW
• Proficiency in C/C++/C#/Python
• Proficiency in cmd/PowerShell; Bash is a plus
• Ability to work independently and lead architecture for complex Windows projects
• Willingness to explore new topics and contribute in a team
• Linux development experience a plus
• Experience in enterprise environments and security software is a plus
