Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Actuary (DAV) to support our life reinsurance systems modernization project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in life reinsurance and primary life insurance actuarial practices, with experience in technical specifications and system testing.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Specifications & Testing: Assist in developing technical specifications and conduct testing for the new billing system tailored to life reinsurance operations.
2. Actuarial Collaboration: Work on actuarial matters related to both life primary insurance and life reinsurance portfolios, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Insurance Mathematics, Physics, or a related field with a strong mathematical focus.

Professional Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in life reinsurance and actuarial functions within life primary insurance.

Professional Certification: Membership with the German Actuarial Association (DAV) or equivalent actuarial certification.

Skills and Competencies:

• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with attention to detail in actuarial assessments and system specifications.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience in developing and validating pricing, reserving, and valuation models for life reinsurance products.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, underwriting, and finance.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to conduct risk assessments and data analysis to support informed decision-making in reinsurance processes.
• Project Management: Experience in contributing to system modernization projects, ensuring actuarial accuracy and system efficiency.
