Symrise is looking for a talented Cloud Engineer to join our IT Data Center & Cloud team. You will play a key role in advancing our multi-cloud strategy by optimizing cloud platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and high performance. Working closely with internal teams and external partners, you\'ll help integrate top cloud solutions that support our global operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Azure.
• Manage Kubernetes-based container infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Automate deployments and enhance CI/CD pipelines to streamline software delivery.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud applications for peak performance.
• Provide technical guidance on cloud security, architecture, and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams and business units to drive cloud adoption and efficiency.
• Work with external service providers to integrate third-party cloud solutions.
• Modernize and optimize existing IT infrastructure for a cloud-native environment.
• Location: Barcelona (Spain), Holzminden (Germany), or Clichy (France). A hybrid setup is offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Infrastructure and Operations.
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including compute, storage, networking, and security services.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for automating cloud infrastructure deployment.
• Networking & Security: Strong understanding of VPCs, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing, IAM policies, and encryption best practices in a cloud environment.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE, AKS) for deploying and managing scalable applications.
• CI/CD Pipelines: Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD or GitHub Actions for automating deployments and infrastructure changes.
• Multi-Cloud & Hybrid Cloud Strategies: Understanding of multi-cloud architectures, hybrid cloud connectivity, and cloud-to-on-prem integrations.
