Flight Testing & Integration Engineer

TYTAN is a young deep-tech defense startup that develops a cost-effective counter-drone solution to protect people and critical infrastructure. We are an international team of ambitious engineers who combine expertise in autonomous systems and UAV design.

We are looking for a new team member who is eager to make a real difference! As a Flight Testing & Integration Engineer, you will push the boundaries of unmanned systems and collaborate with operators to drive real-world missions.

Your roadmap to make an impact:

1. Plan, prepare, and conduct flight testing activities.
2. Take responsibility for product demonstrations, military exercises, and operator training sessions.
3. Document performance data and analyze results to drive product improvements.
4. Collaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure seamless integration of new features and successful deployments.
5. Develop a comprehensive understanding of products, identify opportunities for innovation through user feedback, and communicate insights to the development team.
6. Work directly with mission partners to plan and execute operations, understand challenges, and implement solutions.

Who you are:

1. Degree in Robotics, Electrical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering, and 2+ years of relevant work experience.
2. You have the skills to make things fly; experience in autonomous aerial systems, including their structure, software, and electronics, is a strong advantage.
3. You are a passionate FPV pilot with state-of-the-art knowledge and a hands-on, get-it-done attitude.
4. Eagerness to fix things in an elegant yet pragmatic way, finding solutions that work in the moment without losing sight of long-term goals.
5. Able to collaborate in teams of technical and non-technical individuals, and comfortable working in a constantly evolving environment with dynamic objectives and iteration with users.
6. Possess exceptional problem-solving skills and excel under pressure.
7. Willingness and interest in traveling to partners’ sites as needed.
8. Hands-on mentality with solid multitasking and self-organization abilities.
9. Entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on mentality with solid multitasking and self-organization abilities.
10. Excellent communication and coordination skills.
11. Proficiency in English. German knowledge is beneficial.
