credium is seeking a Geospatial Engineer to join our startup team. You will play a key role in the development of our geospatial data products by designing, developing, and maintaining our ETL pipelines, ensuring data quality throughout the data life cycle. You will work closely with other data engineers, software engineers, and data scientists to ensure data accuracy and completeness, and to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient data ingestion and transformation pipelines, processing large-scale open geospatial data.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across various platforms and systems.
- Create data models, data mapping, and data lineage documentation.
- Generate geodata insights and reports.
- Transform raw geodata into features that enhance our products, using complex algorithms and calculations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their data requirements and ensure data meets their needs.
Qualifications

- Degree in Computer Science, Geoinformatics, or related field, or comparable working experience.
- Proven professional experience with large-scale geospatial data.
- Strong Python skills (pandas, numpy, geopandas, gdal, shapely, rasterio, and other relevant libraries).
- Familiarity with GIS tools (such as QGIS, ArcGIS) for advanced mapping and spatial analysis.
- Solid RDBMS skills and experience with database management (PostgreSQL/Oracle/MSSQL) and geospatial extensions (e.g., PostGIS).
- Strong sense of responsibility, with the ability to handle both high-level design and detailed data issues.
- Ability to document and explain complex technical concepts.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
- (Bonus) Experience with Cloud Data Infrastructure, ideally Azure.
- (Bonus) Experience with transforming data in PySpark and geospatial data using Sedona.
- (Bonus) Experience working in a startup environment.
