We are Ryanair Engineering Germany GmbH.

Based at Berlin Brandenburg Airport BER, we were founded in 2018 and are a 100% subsidiary of Ryanair.

The Irish airline group currently operates a fleet of 590 modern Boeing 737NG and MAX 10, Boeing Game Changer, and Airbus A320 aircraft. We plan to expand by more than 300 aircraft by 2030.

At Ryanair Engineering Germany, our engineers and mechanics are responsible for maintaining all Ryanair aircraft across multiple stations in Germany.

We are currently looking for a Hangar Manager for our station.

Role:

  • Supervise and oversee the Hangar Staff and Facility.
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain the serviceability and appearance of equipment, facilities, and premises to a high standard.
  • Ensure all tasks are fully documented and meet company and legislative requirements, including CAME, MOE, Line & Base handbook, materials handbook, and company policies.
  • Communicate aircraft status immediately and effectively.
  • Manage resources efficiently during shift hours and provide team leadership.
  • Perform any additional tasks or special assignments from the Station Manager or Head of Technical Operations.
  • Control aircraft spares shortage list and authorize orders for high-cost spare parts.
  • Participate in aircraft maintenance duties and support staff activities within the scope of approval, as directed by the Base Maintenance Manager.
  • Audit Hangar and Facilities according to Company Procedures.
  • Allocate engineering staff for maintenance activities outside regular hours for contracted customers.
  • Assist in planning scheduled maintenance.
  • Promote SMS principles within the hangar.
  • Arrange and manage aircraft Pre-Check input meetings to ensure resource availability and keep the Base Maintenance Manager informed of any shortfalls.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed correctly before shift end and conduct detailed handovers.
  • Address quality deficiencies identified through audits.
  • Ensure workmanship quality meets organizational and EASA standards through workforce management.
  • Support Check Supervisors to maintain high standards of control and workmanship.

Requirements:

  • Hold an EASA PART 66 CAT B1 and C License, with experience on Boeing B737NG at minimum; B737NG and B737 MAX or Airbus A320 preferred.
  • Have at least six months of recent experience on the type within the last two years.
  • Excellent communication skills; fluent English required.
  • Willing to work shifts.
  • Possess a valid EU/EEA passport with unrestricted right to live and work in the EU, and a valid EU driver’s license.
  • Preferably hold a valid German security clearance according to § 7 of German Aviation Security Act.
  • Be employed directly and permanently under a German contract.
