High Speed Analog IC Designer - Munich

Our client's German Research Center is responsible for advanced technical research, architecture evolution design, and strategic technical planning for the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solutions provider. Here in Munich, you will be researching and developing signal processing, components, and systems for fixed access, data center networks, metro, and long-haul optical networks for The Optical and Quantum Communications Laboratory (BU).

To strengthen their Munich team in this effort, they are hiring a High Speed Analog IC Designer.

Responsibilities

1. Develop technical directions into the design of high-speed optical communication analog ICs and wireless communication RFICs, including but not limited to technologies such as high-speed TIA design, CDR design, driver design, analog equalization, and high-speed interconnection SerDes design.
2. Formulate and participate in overall architecture planning of the ICs, independently complete schematic design, simulation, and layout of key modules.
3. Responsible for analog integrated circuit design for advanced optical access communication networks and Fiber-to-the-Room products.

Requirements

1. Ph.D. in analog integrated circuit design, RF/Microwave integrated circuit design, or related field.
2. Over 5 years of experience in high-speed optical communication analog ICs, with successful design and implementation of related devices, and a solid understanding of the trends and architectures in the field. Experience with sub-6GHz RFICs and analog RF is a plus.
3. Familiarity with various IC manufacturing processes, foundry performance, back-end layout development, and tape-out processes.
4. Proficiency in analog circuit development environments, including Linux, schematic and layout design tools, parasitic extraction, and DRC tools.
5. Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Matlab, Python, or Verilog.
6. Experience with tools like EMX, Peakview, ADS, Momentum, Cadence, CST, or HFSS.
7. Fluent in English; German proficiency is a plus. Good communication, teamwork, and adaptability are essential.
