About The Role

The Lead IT & Security Engineer will oversee IT infrastructure, endpoint management, and enterprise security. You will manage daily IT operations, ensure compliance with ISO27001 standards, and strengthen our security posture across all systems and tools, including Google Workspace, Atlassian products, and AWS. The role is both strategic and hands-on, defining long-term IT strategy while actively implementing and operating it.

Your Daily Business

IT Administration & Infrastructure

• Lead the administration of Google Workspace, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), and AWS infrastructure.
• Setup of MDM for macOS and Microsoft endpoints.
• Identity and access management.
• Develop IT policies, standards, and procedures to support growth and efficiency.
• Oversee endpoint management and ensure secure, seamless device provisioning and support.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve business productivity and collaboration.

Security & Compliance

• Own the ISO27001 certification process and ongoing compliance management. Evolve the company’s Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Implement, monitor, and improve endpoint and network security systems.
• Lead incident response, risk assessment, and vulnerability management.
• Educate and train employees on security best practices.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to embed security into product and infrastructure.

Leadership & Strategy

• Build and lead a small IT & Security team as the company grows.
• Develop a multi-year IT & Security roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Act as the main point of contact for audits, compliance checks, and external security partners.

Soft Skills

• Strategic thinker with strong execution skills.
• Excellent communicator, able to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Proactive problem-solver with a hands-on attitude.
• Comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.

Base Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT administration and security leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of Google Workspace, Atlassian tools, and AWS environments.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security and management solutions (e.g., MDM, EDR).
• Deep understanding of ISO27001, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with SSO, identity management, and access control systems.
• Experience running incident response and security awareness programs.
• Demonstrable experience and/or exposure to regulated industries, ensuring IT and security practices meet relevant standards.
