Summary of the Role

Responsible for managing marketing, advertising and promotional activities for various products or channels. Takes steps to measure, enhance and enrich the brand image through multiple goals and objectives. Plans and executes day‑to‑day marketing activities in support of a product, service or channel. Helps prepare and adhere to budgets, oversees creation and delivery of advertising and marketing materials, and ensures brand messages are consistent. Collaborates with sales and product to develop strategic partnership activities and implements identified opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing approach and participate in general marketing functions that are typically complex in nature and require regular client contact.
  • Approve spend up to a given threshold and own the marketing budget.
  • Collaborate with business development, customers, product management, sales and other partners to produce client‑customized, content‑rich marketing collateral, such as proposals and corporate communications.
  • Interpret strategic marketing plans into “big ideas” to extend the company’s brand vision.
  • Drive support for strategic direction, growth and vision of assigned segments and manage execution of programs.
  • Create promotional and advertising materials, including press releases and social/digital media content for web sites, Twitter, etc.
  • Identify new relationship opportunities and develop/manage relationships with internal contacts, external communications consultants and agencies.
  • Support product promotion and launch strategies.
  • Serve as a marketing advocate, communications consultant and liaison for business support units and operational units.
  • Develop ROI measures for marketing projects and evaluate investment against ROI.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Relevant experience or degree in any field; combination of training and experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Typically 8+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Marketing services, agency or financial services experience.
  • Salesforce and email automation experience.
  • Payments industry experience.

Desired Skills and Capabilities

  • Broad expertise and unique knowledge; uses skills to contribute to company objectives and achieve goals creatively.
  • Strong analytical judgment and capability to work on significant and complex issues.
  • Independent decision‑making on new or special assignments.
  • Experience in marketing production execution, including print/production.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external audiences.
