We are looking for a proactive Monitoring Analyst with a keen interest in technology to join our team! Your role will be critical in monitoring the systems and infrastructure at our customer site in Haren , working for a leader in the aviation sector.

In this position, you will be the 1st line of support to monitor the behavior of critical-business systems and services, and responsible to take initial actions to diagnose, analyze, and restore systems/services. You will be working closely with other operational and network technical teams. Therefore teamwork, ability to work proactively and self-learning skills are essential for the role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively monitor systems and infrastructure in scope (from network and infrastructure components, voice communication systems to mission critical systems);
  • Managing alerts raised by monitoring systems according to internal procedures;
  • Apply procedures to restore systems and services and take part in planned and unplanned interventions;
  • Provide first line support to internal and external customers via phone, email and walk-in;
  • Report, document and follow up incidents/tasks in the appropriate tools;
  • Perform scheduled health checks of IT components, scheduled contingency tests and disaster recovery exercises;
  • Review technical documentation and contribute to the on-going improvement of the working procedures;
  • Work autonomously in shifts in a 24*7 environment (shift rotation, on call, etc.);

Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience on Networking specific Support (focus on Monitoring activities);
  • Good knowledge of network topologies (LAN/WAN) and operating experience in TCP;
  • Experience with networking monitoring tools and ability to efficiently troubleshoot monitoring alerts and identify root causes;
  • Good knowledge of Unix/Linux/Windows;
  • Experience with Ticketing Tools and standard Office applications;
  • Good understanding of infrastructure support;
  • Ability to strictly follow operating procedures and manuals, strong sense of customer service;
  • Ability to read, write and speak English is mandatory;
  • Ability to work in a shift work environment. Flexibility to cover shift changes with short notice;
