Network Security Engineer

A boutique IT Security consultancy that designs and manages next-generation security architectures such as Zero Trust and SASE is looking to hire an IT Security Engineer in Langenfeld.

This is a hybrid position with roughly two days in the office per week, paying from €60k‑€80k, and requires fluent German and English skills.

You will be performing project work, directly consulting, and managing customer relationships as their main point of contact for network and firewall–related security issues.

After establishing a client’s needs, you will develop and integrate security solutions. Deep firewall experience is required – experience with Palo Alto, Cisco, or Fortinet is essential.

Exposure to cutting‑edge technologies (e.g., PAM/IAM, Cloud Security, and SOC operations) and a team of specialists will accelerate your career growth through consistent training & development in a flat‑hierarchy environment.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients to assess and document security requirements.
• Design, configure, and integrate security solutions based on client needs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for network and firewall‑related security issues.
• Provide ongoing project management and status updates to stakeholders.
• Participate in the continuous improvement of security processes and technologies.

Qualifications

• Mid‑Senior level experience in IT security.
• Proven expertise in firewall technologies – Palo Alto, Cisco, or Fortinet.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust, SASE, and related security architectures.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Excellent client‑management and communication skills.
