My international client based in Munich is seeking an on-site Network Technician to join the team on a contract assignment. This is a hands on role which requires an experienced professional with demonstrable knowledge of physical installations, cabling, and basic configuration of networking equipment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site installation, configuration, and de-installation of hardware: switches (LAN), routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points, and servers.
• Support infrastructure rollouts including switch installation and structured cabling during construction or setup phases.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding of equipment, including asset labelling (barcoding) and cable identification.
• Add/remove/document cable and port connectivity; remove unused cabling and hardware.
• Ensure structured cabling and physical setup meet required standards.
• Maintain accurate records of assets and physical infrastructure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Network or Field Technician, with strong hands-on skills in installation and cabling.
• Comfortable working independently on-site, taking initiative, and managing tasks without constant supervision.
• Basic configuration skills for network devices (Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortigate).
• Familiarity with firewalls, routers, switches, and physical network infrastructure.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills – able to interact professionally with employees and stakeholders.
• Language Skills: Fluent German (spoken & written), basic English (A2–B1).

Based in Munich or willing to relocate.

Nice to Have

• Experience working during construction or renovation phases of infrastructure.
• Previous experience with data center or office cabling standards and documentation.
