Team Overview

Our team drives a data-driven cross-LoB portfolio steering framework across AZ Commercial, regularly updated to reflect recent developments. We emphasize collaboration within our international, diverse team based in Munich and Bucharest.

Impact and Responsibilities

In this role, you will manage portfolio performance at various levels, implementing cycle management frameworks to ensure sustainable profitability. You will work closely with business management to guide portfolio development, optimize pricing and capacity strategies based on market trends, and lead quarterly portfolio steering meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects related to portfolio steering and analytics.
• Implement the CUO/CTO cycle management framework, focusing on pricing, capacity, and portfolio strategy.
• Lead quarterly portfolio meetings, presenting results and facilitating discussions for portfolio optimization.
• Analyze performance and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
• Develop portfolio analytics processes for transparency and top management reporting.
• Collaborate with colleagues to translate underwriting strategies into actionable items, including pricing and portfolio composition.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or related field.
• Several years of experience in the insurance industry, including technical underwriting and actuarial work.
• Experience working in international, cross-border environments.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Excellent analytical and presentation skills, comfortable with senior management.
• Proficiency in MS Office and data analytics.
• Fluent in English.
