Product Assurance Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Mission

For our Product Assurance Team, we are looking for an experienced Product Assurance Engineer to support a wide range of activities, mainly in the Galileo project. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the product and quality assurance of the maintenance activities for the Galileo ground segments. The candidate should understand software development processes, in order to assess the proposed anomaly fixes and their compliance to applicable requirements. The candidate shall also have good communication skills, as an important part of the role is to represent GfR in external boards and ensuring that relevant processes are being followed.

Your Responsibilities

• Development and optimization of PA/QA processes for Software Maintenance
• Definition and implementation of Product Assurance supporting metrics and KPIs
• Performing analyses related to problem management and recommending improvements
• Participation as process expert in change management boards, anomaly review boards, and other meetings with customers, development partners and contractors, ensuring process compliance
• Review of technical documentation for formal correctness and compliance with product assurance, safety and CADM requirements
• Performing internal and external process audits
• Contribution to risk management and lessons learned processes

Your Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or similar relevant technical field
• Experience in Product Assurance or Quality Assurance, preferably also in Software Quality Assurance
• Experience in working in multidisciplinary teams
• Structured way of working, attention to detail
• Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python) and experience with AI/Machine Learning tools will be considered an asset
• Knowledge of related standards (e.g. ECSS standards, Galileo Software Standard) would be an asset
• Advanced level of English is mandatory, German is a plus
