Your role as Project Director

In this high-visibility role with broad responsibility you will take full technical and leadership responsibility for one of Europe’s most ambitious hybrid power plants: combining over 620 MWp of PV and 1,000 MWh of battery storage in Bulgaria with an investment volume of about €400M.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of the entire project – from engineering to construction (AC and DC)
• Managing a core project team of 20–25 specialists on-site, while coordinating with 600+ staff and subcontractors
• Oversee partners, suppliers, timelines, and budget with full accountability for delivery
• Act as the main interface between planning, logistics, construction, and local stakeholders
• Ensure on-time milestones , technical quality , and on-site safety in a complex international setup
• Support permitting, documentation , and grid connection processes

What you bring

• Proven track record in delivering utility-scale PV or hybrid power projects , at least > 50 MW
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams
• Solid technical project management expertise , preferably with an electrical engineering or renewable energy background
• A strategic, commercially minded approach to delivering complex infrastructure projects
• Fluent English (project language); German is an advantage
• Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 40–60 %, including extended on-site phases in Bulgaria)
