As a member of the Asset & Property Management team, you are responsible for all financial matters (supplier and customer management) of our Germany portfolio, which currently consists of about 60 properties (approx. 2.0 million m² of rental space) leased to customers from a variety of industries (e.g. e-commerce, logistics, automotive, food). Together with the commercial and technical colleagues, you are an essential and important part of our property management, providing excellent customer service and ensuring the financial strength of our portfolio.
You are responsible for a portfolio of logistics properties in South Germany, for which you:
- are responsible for the end-to-end payment chain (from incoming supplier invoices to outgoing invoices to tenants) and have a comprehensive view of the financial situation of the entrusted properties (rent payments, arrears, service charges, rent guarantees)
- ensure the processing of incoming invoices for various service providers of your properties as well as communication with our suppliers and business partner
- take over the receivables management towards our customers (including invoicing, checking timely payment, calculating indexations and rent guarantees) and prepare service charge reconciliations
- know and monitor the financial contents of all property-related contracts (rent, service charges, rental guarantees, land rent, supply contracts, etc.)
- support various internal stakeholders (within Asset & Property Management, Analytics, Capital Transactions & Treasury / Finance) in answering specific questions and concerns
- are the first point of contact for our business partners (customers and suppliers) when it comes to questions about invoices, payments, reminder letters and arrears
- ensure that all property-related data is entered into our property management system (YARDI) in a timely, correct, and complete manner
The Ideal Candidate Is An Entrepreneurial-minded Individual With a Financial/commercial Degree Or Completed Training With Professional Experience And a Strong Affinity For Numbers And Data
- Commercial degree in finance, accounting, real estate management, or business administration
- Several years of experience in a real estate company or similar position
- Commercial degree in finance, accounting, real estate management, or business administration
- Hands-on mentality and problem solver, ability to multitask and prioritize
- Strong sense of responsibility and a good feel for financial results, quality, organization, and planning
- Ability to interact with various people, from warehouse staff to CFOs
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, YARDI is an advantage, open to new software tools
- You speak fluent German and have very good knowledge of the English language
