Public Relations Manager DACH (m / f / d)

Overview

As Public Relations Manager DACH you will lead and execute a robust public relations and communications program across the region. Youll be at the forefront of enhancing Digital Realtys brand awareness managing media relationships and positioning our leadership as thought leaders in the tech and infrastructure space. This role combines external communications public affairs and ESG communications with a strong emphasis on cross-regional collaboration in a fast-paced matrix organization.

Responsibilities

PR & Media Communications

• Develop and implement a media strategy and PR plan for the DACH region with measurable results
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists and analysts
• Create press releases op-eds bylines and thought leadership content
• Monitor media coverage and conduct competitive analysis
• Represent the DACH region in the EMEA PR Counsel and collaborate with EMEA and global PR teams on shared campaigns and narratives
• Support crisis communications in line with regional and global frameworks
• Adapt global content for local relevance and consistency

Public Affairs

• Design and execute public affairs initiatives in the region
• Build strategic relationships with political and industry associations
• Create talking points and social media content for regional MDs
• Represent Digital Realty with key stakeholders and governmental bodies

ESG Communications

• Drive local ESG communication initiatives aligned with global strategy
• Articulate and promote Digital Realtys ESG commitments to external audiences

Your Profile

• Degree in Communications Journalism Marketing or related field
• 7 years experience in PR corporate communications or media relations
• Strong background in B2B and / or Tech sector either in-house or agency-side
• Deep network of journalist contacts in Germany (Austria and Switzerland a plus) and proven ability to engage with political stakeholders and industry bodies
• Data-driven mindset with ability to measure and report on PR effectiveness
• Experience in a matrixed international corporate environment
• Exceptional writing and editing skills in German and English
• Self-starter with a proactive hands-on approach who thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Team player who thrives in international cross-functional teams
• Willingness to travel across the DACH region (15%)
