Overview

Regional Finance & Controlling Manager responsible for controlling activities, monthly closings, and performance analysis for production plants in Germany and Belgium. The role includes driving cost optimization, KPI alignment, system enhancements, and collaboration with business group controllers.

Responsibilities

Lead the monthly closing process in collaboration with the accounting department
Ensure accurate preparation of Flash reports, Budget, and Strategic Plan for production plants in Germany and Belgium
Analyze plant financial performance, identify improvement opportunities, and drive implementation of corrective actions
Identify cost and efficiency optimization potential across sites
Align outcomes and KPIs for all plants within the scope, benchmarking against other countries
Automate financial KPIs and integrate controlling tools within IT systems (SAP key user for controlling)
Collaborate closely with Business Group Controllers on system improvements, reporting, and divisional requirements
Enhance controlling activities and internal control processes

Qualifications

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
Minimum 7 years of experience in Controlling/Finance, including proven experience as a Plant Controller in an industrial environment
Strong expertise in controlling instruments and financial analysis
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS standards
Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
Proficiency in SAP (FI, CO) modules
Strong analytical and organizational skills, ability to work under tight deadlines
Initial experience in internal auditing is a plus
Fluent in German and English
