This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Jumio. We are currently looking for an SDET III - Python in India.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of ensuring product reliability and performance for complex, large-scale systems. As a senior member of the test engineering team, you will architect automation frameworks, design robust test strategies, and champion quality across the entire product lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with product, engineering, and DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD processes and influence technical decisions. Accountabilities

• Architect, maintain, and enhance scalable automated test frameworks, tools, and test environments.
• Design and execute test strategies for backend systems, APIs, and machine learning pipelines.
• Own quality metrics, test planning, and coverage analysis within your domain.
• Perform root cause analysis of failures and provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and release velocity.
• Mentor and guide other SDETs and QA engineers, promoting a strong culture of quality.
• Lead test automation initiatives with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
• Provide input in design and code reviews to ensure testability and robustness of systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in frameworks such as PyTest, unittest, and Selenium.
• Proven background in building and maintaining test frameworks for large-scale web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Experience working with Docker, AWS, and microservices-based test automation.
• Familiarity with SQL and databases such as MySQL or MongoDB (nice to have).
• Exposure to ML model testing and data-driven testing methodologies.
• Solid experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Strong understanding of Agile development, QA methodologies, and defect management tools.
• Proficiency with UNIX/Linux environments and scripting (Bash, Shell).
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities with a proactive and mentoring mindset.
• Bonus: prior experience as a lead SDET, open-source contributions, or knowledge of performance/load testing tools.
