Senior Accountant

Responsibilities

• Prepares standard and nonstandard journal entries and general ledger account analyses
• Account for fixed asset purchases, track fixed assets, record depreciation, and periodically perform physical audits of fixed assets
• Posts and reconciles global cash pool netting
• Reconciles VAT
• Prepares reports such as DSO, aged receivables, and aged unbilled receivables
• Provides documentation for external auditors
• Possesses an understanding of IFRS/US GAAP and local accounting regulations
• Supports during the month‑end closing and annual financial statements

Education / Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in accounting in a multinational company
• Performs moderately complex accounting assignments following established procedures in areas such as financial reporting, intercompany accounting general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets
• Very good command of spoken and written German (at least C2 level) and English language (business proficiency)
• Strong planning and organizing skills, deadline oriented
• Proficient in using MS Office, especially MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
• Experienced user of a standard ERP system (MS Dynamics Great Plains experience would be an advantage)
• Fast learner, communicative and a high degree of social competence
• Self‑motivated individual looking for a role that will challenge and reward
• Team‑oriented work and dedication
