Senior Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join their finance team. In this role you will play a key part in ensuring smooth and compliant accounts payable operations within an international, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review, post, and process incoming invoices and special general ledger transactions using SAP S/4HANA (including Workflow tools).
• Accurately record and reconcile bank transactions.
• Process vendor invoices related to fixed assets in accordance with asset accounting standards.
• Execute payment runs within SAP.
• Monitor and clear outstanding items in the accounts payable ledger.
• Review and process corporate credit card statements in line with internal financial policies.

Qualifications

• Several years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable, with solid knowledge of German and EU VAT regulations.
• Confident in handling vendor transactions linked to purchase orders (ideally using the SAP MM module).
• Advanced proficiency in SAP S/4HANA is highly desirable.
• Strong interest in AP processes and related tax matters.
• Proactive, responsible, and a strong team player.
• Fluent in English and German.
