Paradox Cat GmbH is a specialist software development partner in the area of real-time graphics from Munich, Germany. As a partner and supplier of various premium automotive manufacturers, we support graphical interface development for high-end in car cluster instruments and infotainment systems. In addition to this, PARADOX CAT GmbH has increasingly participated in Proof of Concept projects and feasibility studies in the Human Machine Interaction (HMI) spectrum. Here, we focus on the implementation of new emerging technologies and their usability and implementation in the car of the future.
You will:
- Ownership of the entire lifecycle of all defects (from logging to final closure)
- Preliminary analysis of traces and triage of defects
- Assignment to the appropriate development team after initial analysis
- Ensuring consistent classification (e.g., severity, priority)
- Ensuring all defects are fully, clearly, and testably described, including logs/traces, reproduction, and steps to reproduce
- Monitoring of all open defects across relevant branches (development, release, maintenance)
- Regular defect reviews with the team and stakeholders (e.g., weekly)
- Creation and maintenance of defect dashboards
- Definition and provision of defect statistics (e.g., number of new defects per sprint, trends per component, time to fix)
- Reporting to Domain Project Lead, Feature Owner, Product Owner, Domain Architect, and, if needed, management
- Documentation and follow-up of corrective actions to prevent future defects (preventive measures)
- Continuous improvement of the defect management process (e.g., workflow adjustments, enhancement of the "Definition of Ready" for defects)
- Close coordination with the Software Quality Representative and the development teams
You have:
- A degree in computer science, electronics engineering or a comparable qualification or equivalent experience
- At least two years of experience working in a defect management position for embedded or mobile applications
- Quality consciousness, strong analytical skills and a structured, self-starter working style
- Advanced knowledge in Log Analysis and System Diagnostics (e.g. DLT Viewer, Octane, CARMEN, EDIABAS)
- Hands-on experience with Eazy BI, Power BI or similar
- Experience working on agile projects and using JIRA (Dashboard) and Confluence
- The ability to clearly communicate defects to the developers/SW quality officer/PO, Domain Project Lead
- An excellent standard of written and spoken English
- Experience working in automotive projects
