Senior Device Security Engineer

Tools for Humanity (TFH), a division of Worldcoin, is building privacy‑preserving technology for inclusive finance. We are looking for a Senior Device Security Engineer to help secure the Core Orb device and the Worldcoin ecosystem.

About the Role

In this role you’ll collaborate with industry‑leading security experts and hackers to design and develop groundbreaking security technologies that set new standards for device protection.

Conduct deep security assessments and harden hardware, firmware, and software layers of devices using cutting‑edge techniques.
Develop advanced hardware protection mechanisms for devices operating in hostile environments.
Redesign platform software architecture with a security‑first perspective and implement it in products.
Revolutionize secure manufacturing processes or create decentralized remote attestation mechanisms.
Redesign secure boot mechanisms to address practical challenges such as device decommissioning while maintaining robustness.
Engage in a wide array of additional projects that push the boundaries of what’s possible in device security.

About You

5‑10+ years designing and delivering security‑critical systems for internet‑connected embedded devices (e.g., hardware oracles, IoT, automotive).
In‑depth knowledge of hardware security, Linux/Android/iOS security, peripheral or firmware security, or TPM‑based remote attestation.
Experience with TEE, secure manufacturing processes, transparency systems, physical or cloud HSMs, cryptography, or virtualization.
Extensive experience creating, presenting, and refining technical specifications from high‑level architecture to detailed implementation guides and test plans.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and leadership abilities with a proven track record of driving initiatives forward.
Thrives in fast‑paced, collaborative environments and is motivated to tackle challenges with a team‑first attitude.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

Experience with seL4, formal verification.
