Senior Electrical Engineer

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, client-focused Senior Electrical Engineer to join our data centre team in Frankfurt. You will support the successful delivery of innovative design solutions on large-scale data centre projects globally.

You will work closely with our data centre team and multidisciplinary colleagues to drive and support technically excellent and profitable projects.

The role involves active participation in the design process, producing design deliverables, monitoring budgets and schedules, checking designs, and communicating with project and client teams.

You will receive support from senior staff and contribute to the growth of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver precise electrical design solutions, including schematics, fault and discrimination studies, and layouts.
• Prepare technical specifications, schedules, calculations, reports, and documentation.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to inform design development.
• Coordinate detailed electrical designs with other disciplines and stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and CAD technicians.
• Participate in project meetings, providing electrical expertise.
• Support project teams in delivering high-quality electrical design packages.
• Collaborate across regional and international offices on multidisciplinary projects.
• Assist in the technical development of the electrical team in Germany.
• Proactively resolve design and project challenges.

The Skills

Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership, with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or similar. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential.

Experience in consulting engineering is required; data centre experience is preferred but not essential. Demonstrated ability to manage small-to-medium projects and teams is expected.
