Senior Investment Associate

H&P Executive Search has been mandated by a top-tier global private equity firm for a Senior Associate search to support their growing Hamburg team.

This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a dynamic lower mid-market strategy with full deal lifecycle exposure and direct access to investment partners and portfolio executives.

About the Role

As Senior Associate, you’ll play a key role in lean deal teams, working on fast‑paced investments across Industrials, Business Services, Technology, and Healthcare.

You’ll focus on DACH‑based companies in the mid‑market, writing €30–200m equity tickets with an active, operationally hands‑on approach.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and execute new investment opportunities across the region
• Lead diligence workstreams, modelling, and valuation
• Manage advisors and engage directly with target company management
• Prepare Investment Committee materials
• Support portfolio value creation alongside management teams
• Contribute to exits, recapitalisations, and bolt‑ons

What You Bring

• 3–6 years’ total experience in Private Equity and MBB consulting
• Strong financial modelling and commercial judgment, ideally with DACH transaction exposure
• Curious, humble, analytical, and execution‑focused
• Fluent German (native level) and strong English
