This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of aKube Inc. We are currently looking for a Senior IT Project Manager (Education / Software Development) in Texas (USA).

This role offers the opportunity to lead critical IT and software development projects within the education sector, ensuring that technology initiatives deliver meaningful value to stakeholders. The Senior IT Project Manager will guide Agile teams through the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), manage project scope, budget, and schedules, and engage with executives and cross-functional teams to align initiatives with strategic priorities. This position emphasizes leadership, process rigor, and collaboration, while driving measurable outcomes through software and data projects. You will play a key role in shaping technology solutions that support education systems and stakeholders across the state.

Accountabilities

• Lead Agile software development teams through the SDLC to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.
• Develop and maintain project charters, budgets, plans, and schedules, managing changes to scope and priorities.
• Ensure application and infrastructure deliverables meet business expectations, legislative requirements, and quality standards.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders, executives, and leadership teams.
• Motivate, influence, and guide cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
• Define and articulate technology roadmaps, aligning initiatives with organizational strategy.
• Apply performance competencies such as productivity, decision-making, communication, growth mindset, initiative, and influence.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working with software application teams using SDLC, PMLC, and Agile Scrum methodologies.
• 3+ years of experience with Power BI and Data Lake technologies.
• Experience as a Scrum Master and familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks preferred.
• PMI Certification is a plus.
• Strong customer-service orientation with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Availability to work outside standard business hours as needed.
