Reporting to Sr. Manufacturing Manager of Performance Gases – Belgium, the role is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Company’s safety, health, environmental, and quality policies to ensure compliance with the country’s industry regulations and Company’s standard compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure workplace safety by promoting best practices, conducting safety drills, and implementing emergency response procedures.
- Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Respond, investigate, and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensure implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor environmental impact and sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and company goals.
- Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with management and employees to create a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety standards.
- Keep updated on industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices related to HSE.
2.0 Quality Assurance
- Develop, implement, and monitor quality policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal and external quality audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance frameworks, including ISO standards and other industry-specific guidelines.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance processes, including supplier quality evaluations, process audits, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Utilize statistical methods and data analysis to monitor quality performance and identify trends for process improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation for quality assurance procedures, inspection criteria, and compliance reports.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
- Provide quality training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Monitor industry standards and best practices to ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of quality audits and compliance activities.
- Collaborate with management and employees to create a culture of continuous improvement in quality standards.
- Keep updated on industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices related to quality management.
3.0 Quality Control
- Ensure product and service quality by promoting best practices, conducting quality checks, and implementing improvement initiatives.
- Conduct quality assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances, preparing reports and implementing corrective measures.
- Lead, coordinate, review change management to material, process, product and document.
- Establish and maintain quality control processes, including raw material inspections, in-process quality checks, and final product verification.
- Utilize statistical methods and data analysis to monitor quality performance and identify trends for process improvement.
- Develop and maintain documentation for quality control procedures, inspection criteria, and compliance reports.
- Work closely with production teams to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, certificates, reports and findings.
Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management, Chemical engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an HSEQ role, preferably in medical manufacturing industry.
- Certification in HSE-related courses (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Management) is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of local and international health, safety, environmental and quality regulations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to promote a safety and quality-conscious culture.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and investigations effectively.
Skill Requirements
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and HSE management systems.
- Experience in using corporate resource planning tool, Microsoft D365 is preferred
- Strong problem-solving abilities, detail-oriented, able to work under pressure
- Ability to work, both independently and work collaboratively as part of a team, in multi-cultural, regional environment.
