Software Developer – Graphic User Interface for Embedded Systems (Full-Time)

My client is looking for a Software Developer to strengthen our embedded GUI development team at our headquarters in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance software for the embedded market
• Support the team in the new and further development of efficient and well-established embedded and IoT products
• Review, maintain, and optimise the existing code base
• Adapt our software to customer‑specific requirements and integrate these changes into the generic platform software
• Conduct performance, benchmark, and stress tests
• Create technical documentation, such as user manuals and application notes

Your Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics, or comparable qualification
• Passion for embedded computing systems
• Experience with microcontrollers
• Several years of experience in C programming
• Good knowledge of Python and C++

Ideally, You Also Have

• Knowledge of vector graphics (2D and/or 3D)
• Experience with Qt and/or FreeType
• Familiarity with version control and build tools such as SVN, Git, and CMake
• Basic understanding of computer graphics (anti‑aliasing, 2D/3D geometry, clipping, double buffering, blending, etc.)
• Strong analytical and structured working style
• Good communication skills, team spirit, and self‑motivation
• Interest in new technologies and a desire to work in a dynamic, fast‑evolving environment
• Very good German and solid English skills
