    This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Allstate Identity Protection. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer Consultant II (ASP.NET/C#) in Ohio (USA).

    This role offers an opportunity to contribute to enterprise-scale software solutions in a collaborative, Agile environment. As a Software Engineer Consultant II, you will develop and maintain web and backend applications, leveraging modern frameworks and best practices. You will work closely with a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality, responsive, and secure software while actively participating in the software development lifecycle. This position emphasizes hands-on development, continuous learning, and the ability to influence technical decisions. Ideal candidates thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment and are passionate about building scalable and maintainable applications that meet user needs.

    Accountabilities

    ·         Develop and implement ASP.NET/C# applications using test-driven development principles.

    ·         Participate in paired programming, code reviews, and collaborative design sessions.

    ·         Build and maintain responsive web applications using modern front-end technologies and frameworks.

    ·         Contribute to continuous integration, continuous delivery, and deployment pipelines.

    ·         Support and troubleshoot software in user environments and provide technical guidance to team members.

    ·         Engage in iteration planning, daily standups, and retrospectives to improve product quality and team performance.

    ·         Share knowledge and best practices to foster collective team growth.

    Requirements

    ·         1–2 years of experience in ASP.NET and C# backend development for enterprise or business applications.

    ·         Familiarity with MVC architecture and RESTful API development or consumption.

    ·         Solid understanding of modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.

    ·         Exposure to front-end frameworks such as Knockout.js, Vue.js, or Angular is a plus.

    ·         Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and ability to write and optimize T-SQL queries.

    ·         Familiarity with version control systems such as Git and basic experience with CI/CD pipelines.

    ·         Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in both front-end and back-end environments.

    ·         Ability to work collaboratively in Agile or Scrum-based teams.

    ·         Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
