Job Summary
The Production Manager will lead the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to achieve common goals within the production facility. This role will measure safety, quality, delivery, and cost results, using data to drive continuous improvement efforts. The Production Manager is responsible for increasing efficiency gains, capacity utilization, workforce planning, and developing and leading a diverse team.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors all aspects of production, including but not limited to planning and scheduling, staffing, manufacturing processes, final assembly, and on-time product delivery.
- Contributes to the development and management of the production budget; ensures the achievement of financial targets.
- Investigates the root causes of problems that negatively impact production targets.
- Leads and coordinates a variety of identified and approved initiatives and projects aimed at improving processes and performance.
- Participates in initiatives to develop new products or modify existing ones.
- Fosters effective employee relations and provides employee training and development for other managers and employees.
- Develops and implements an enhanced training program for new hires and lateral skills.
- Collaborates with the planning team to maximize through and target achievement.
- Recommends and improves the value stream, machinery, equipment, industrialization, and manufacturing methods. Provides investment justification to the management team.
- Gains good technical knowledge of operational procedures; follows the escalation process to address and respond to abnormalities and recommends corrective actions if necessary
- Ensure that standard operating procedures are developed, implemented, and updated in accordance with ISO guidelines within the relevant departments.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a manufacturing-related field or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 5-7 years of production or operations management experience in a senior role.
- Experience with TPS, ISO 9001:2008, and Lean Management principles.
- Solid understanding and application of Workplace 6S and other Lean Management principles.
- Must demonstrate creativity and resourcefulness in applying design principles and practices.
- Proven track record of building a team that manages change, streamline processes, and achieves improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
- Strong analytical problem-solving, delegation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic multicultural environment as a team player.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Must be fluent in German and English both spoken and written.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Multilingual speaking skills – Fluency in Czech would be an advantage.
- SAP, Intelex and experience managing HRIS would be an asset.
- Knowledge of Roto-molding and Injection Molding production preferred.

- Must be able to travel nationally and internationally if necessary.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e., stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers).
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently required to execute non-standard physical activities within the facility areas (i.e., climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch).
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 15kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25kg.
- This position requires repetitive hand/wrist activities.
