Principal ServiceNow Workflow Architect (German-speaking, DACH) Location: Germany / Austria (DACH) – Remote with customer travel Seniority: Principal / Lead ArchitectWe are seeking an exceptional Principal ServiceNow Workflow Architect to lead large-scale workflow and service-management transformation programs for some of the most prominent enterprises in the DACH region. This is a top-tier senior architect role, ideal for someone who commands credibility with C-level stakeholders, drives strategic ServiceNow roadmap discussions, and ensures the successful delivery of highly complex implementations. You will act as the architectural authority across major engagements, steering direction, guiding teams, correcting off-track projects, and safeguarding the long-term health and scalability of enterprise ServiceNow platforms. What You Will DoLead customer workshops to assess current processes and design future-state workflows and operating models on the ServiceNow platform.Architect and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CSDM, and related domains.Drive strategic ServiceNow roadmap and architecture discussions, ensuring customers maximise platform capabilities.Guide customers through requirements gathering, documentation, and key design decisions.Provide insights from real-world delivery to strengthen internal methodologies and architectural standards.Mentor and support delivery teams, ensuring alignment with ServiceNow best practices and high-quality implementation.Lead all technical aspects of project delivery, including resolving complex issues and realigning off-track implementations.Support presales activities with strong architectural credibility and clear, senior-level technical guidance.Operate in a senior consulting capacity with occasional travel across the DACH region. What You Bring (Experience & Capabilities Required)Extensive experience architecting and delivering complex ServiceNow solutions across multiple domains.Deep expertise in ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CSDM, and enterprise workflow design.Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and steer sophisticated transformation programs.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving multi-dimensional technical challenges.Excellent communication and coaching skills; able to guide delivery teams and elevate architectural quality.Ability to review code such as JavaScript, Web Services, XML, to be able to effectively lead the development team. Certifications (Highly Desirable)Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – highly desirableCertified Master Architect (CMA) – highly desirable and a strong differentiatorAdditional Implementation ServiceNow specialist and domain-specific certifications are an advantage. Language & LocationProfessional Fluency in German and English is essential.Can be based Germany, Austria, Switzerland or Netherlands.
